Is the man on the ship dreaming of the woman in the tub, or visa versa? I believe paintings should to some extent be up to the viewers imagination, as whatever I originally had in mind is not any more valid than what another thinks now.
I suppose in this case whose fantasy it is depends on wether you are a man or woman.
